We take great pride in tending the garden and we are constantly adding new features to make it even more special. Recent additions include our wildlife pond, greenhouse and potting sheds along with our stunning garden marquee which is proving to be a popular venue for private parties. We also have a beautifully converted horse box, which we use for garden catering and special events.
We are also proud to have won ‘Best Pub Garden’ at the Great British Pub Awards, a testament to the care and passion our team put into creating such a beautiful space.
We welcome well-behaved children to the garden, where they can enjoy our newly refurbished play area for 2025, now featuring interactive and sensory play elements. It’s a safe, fun space designed to keep little ones entertained. We also home pet rabbits called Tinkerbell, Pixie and Benji who are very popular and have their own little garden.
PLAY AREA
Our play area is open all year round and children are welcome until 8pm.
The garden is a perfect pit-stop for people on the popular Meanwood Valley Trail to rest and enjoy a refreshing drink (and maybe a picnic!) before continuing on their way.
NO SMOKING
Our beer garden is a non smoking area however, our patio area with picnic benches plus a purpose built sheltered smoking area, located outside the front of the pub are designated smoking zones
